Good news!
The forecast remained as we wanted therefore Francisco and his team left today, at 5AM, to the Savages Islands.
While travelling, in a Navy vessel, we had an opportunity to talk with Francisco and test all the equipment that will be needed to the Odyssey. Around 2PM they arrived at the Savages Islands where they will stay preparing everything to begin the MINI Kitesurf Odyssey next Tuesday.

The Odyssey is expected to begin next Tuesday around 7AM in the southest point of the Savages Islands. The distance between the Savages Islands and Funchal is around 300 km and we anticipate it would take between 10 and 15 hours to connect these two points. Francisco is expected to arrive at the city pier at the end of the evening.
“Linking this two points in 10 hours would be great, but the truth is that this adventure could even last 17 hours. The main challenge is the wind, that at this moment has been quite unstable. Having the right forecast that will assure that we will have the required wind from the beginning to the end is not a easy task” – said Francisco yesterday to the media
